About Us

Bosom Pals Southend

Cancer. It's a word none of us ever want to hear. When you receive that diagnosis, it can feel incredibly isolating. Even with the love and support of those around you, it can be hard for them to really grasp what you're going through.

At Bosom Pals Southend Support Group, we understand. We may be a very small charity, but we're primarily a support group, providing a safe space to talk freely and openly about your fears and

Bosom Pals Goes Over The Top!

anxieties after your diagnosis. Here, you'll find others who are on the same journey, who can empathise with your feelings and offer support and guidance. Our group consists of women, and men, at various stages of their diagnosis, meaning there is likely someone who can relate to and answer your questions or concerns.

Alongside the support group, we arrange days out exclusively for our members. In 2023 Bosom Pals climbed over the O2, attended a beautiful afternoon tea at Lise Lou’s, and even went on a theatre trip to see The King and I! To see what else Bosom Pals has been up to, view our gallery and see what exciting things we have planned for this year in our 2024 agenda.

In addition to our in-person support group that is held once a month, we also have a very active, private Facebook group, with over 380 members, where you will find advice and information on how to help navigate your diagnosis and treatments. Whether you're unable to attend our meetings or simply seeking additional support, our online community is there for you, free of charge. Please click here or search for Bosom Pals Southend Private Group on Facebook and send a join request.

We do not receive any funding whatsoever, instead we rely on legacies, donations, and fundraising to sustain our support group and activities. This enables us to continue providing invaluable assistance to those in need.

So, if you fancy a cuppa and a chat with people who understand, please send a join request to the Facebook group, and one of the support team will contact you.

Or why not come along and see for yourself next month? We meet every third Wednesday of the month, from 7.00 pm, at The Stables, Chalkwell Park Drive (rear of 195 Leigh Road), Leigh on Sea, SS9 1LX. All we ask is for a £2.00 donation when you attend a meeting, to help cover the cost of refreshments.

We really do understand how you feel. Welcome to Bosom Pals.
